SPRING TRENDS FOR THE LADIES!

Okay LADIES, finally, I got around to compiling some spring fashion trends just for YOU. Spring doesn't necessarily mean FLOWERS and BRIGHT COLORS, there are so many other things to consider! Don't be typical, be fabulous!

1. ASYMMETRY

This spring is going crazy over ASYMMETRY! Remember Kate Winslet's stunning Oscar gown? Try and mimic asymmetry by getting pieces that have a single shoulder strap or different designs on either side.

2. FORM FITTING PIECES

Form fitting silhouettes are so in this season, like the above Herve Leger bandage dress.

3. Jumpsuits (YAY!)

The Jumpsuit is making its way back onto the scene! And if you don't want to take it so literally, like Derek Lam's asymmetric black jumpsuit, try something in a similar shape and style like the polka-dot Marc by Marc Jacobs short-suit.

4. Fabrics that Flow

If form-fitting styles aren't necessarily your cup of tea, try fabrics that are flowy and move well. Tunic from Piazza Sempione, 3/4 sleeve dress by Rachel Roy, and Halter Dress by Missoni.

5. Floral Prints (Not your Grandma's curtains)

Of course Spring is the time bust out those colorful prints and fun florals, but don't take the word too literally! Try these cute pieces from Oscar De La Renta, Dolce & Gabbana, and Ralph Lauren, respectively.

HOMEMADE FACIALS!

This is a recipe for a homemade facial that works WONDERS on your face.

You'll need:
- Aspirin
- Honey
- Water

Directions:
Crush the aspirin and add just a few drops of honey and mix until you get a paste. Add a few drops of water so the paste becomes more spreadable and apply to your skin. Let sit for about 10-15 mins and rinse off with warm water  and pat dry. TRY IT. Your skin will instantly feel firm and glow like you just did the nasty.

SPRING FLING: Men with Color

Why is it that guys are so afraid to show some color? It isn't wrong and it certainly isn't just for women anymore. For men, this season is all about the pops of color in an outfit. Don't be afraid to play with your color palette!

1. Accesories/Bags
- Don't be afraid to use accessories! Bags are a great way to add a statement to your look. Gucci adds some casual flair to this spring 2009 collection through some awesome accessorizing.

2. Vibrant Hues

Utilize vibrant hues like a bold pink or purple to really make a statement. Have fun mixing patterns with bright solids, like Tom Ford did here.

3. Gradient Colors

Gradient colors are also making a big splash this season, like this piece from Salvatore Ferragamo.

4. Cinched Waists

Think belted sweaters and cardigans are just for the ladies?  HELL NO. Cinched waists for men are making it onto the big scenes like these Spring '09 runway examples:

5. Loafers

Move over moccasins! It's time for the re-introduction of the classic loafer. This statement shoe is stampeding all over runway collections everywhere. Pair up, pair it down, these versatile John Lobb loafers are comfy and chic. Try it with a cuffed chino for a nice casual look or dress it up with a bold pant.

6. Boating Shoes

Want to go just a bit more casual? Try pairing some shorts or denim with boating shoes like these from Dolce and Gabbana.

7. Colorful Sneakers

Speaking of casual shoes, this season being all about the pops of color, that can be done with some bright sneakers! Alejandro Ingelmo's low rider metallic sneakers, for example.

8. Aviators

Give your Ray-Ban Wayfarers a rest and polish off those aviators that have been waiting to shine. A great way to finish off a fierce casual look. These Marc Jacobs aviators add just the right flair to any spring ensemble.

9. Clubmaster Sunglasses

If you insist on wearing Ray-Ban, try the new clubmaster design. This is a new spin on the classic (but honestly so overdone) wayferer look.

CURRENT HUNT:
- Yellow Shorts

Current Obsession:
- Braided Belts!

MEN: For a casual and relaxed, but stylish look, pair this braided belt with a light-wash denim that's cuffed right above your ankle. Add a casual, clean white shirt, tuck it in and throw on some white shoes (without the socks!).
